More Handwriting Practice
When you have learned to form all the letters of the alphabet correctly, then the hard work begins. It takes much more time, practice and hard work to have your handwriting become automatic. This means you are no longer thinking about how to form each letter and write a word, rather you are now concentrating on what you are writing.
Some people who are going through this learning process have difficulty coming up with things to write to get this increased practice. To help you with this, we have many hopefully fun things which you can choose from to increase your skill of cursive handwriting.
These are presented in random order, so they are not meant to be done in a specific order, rather you choose which one’s appeal to you and write those. The main thing is that you continue to practice your handwriting for a short period of time every day.
Remember too that the basics still need to be maintained.
These include:
Proper grip of the writing instrument
Correct posture
Page slanted in the proper direction for your handedness
Better to practice for short periods of time several times a day than to write for long periods of time so your hand doesn’t cramp or get sore.
Review what you have written to make a mental note of your best writing.
